Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern access to Beyond Gaming League, ATOM tournament tools, public tournament records, account features, and paid ATOM Premium subscriptions.

Please read these Terms carefully. They include rules for recurring subscriptions, cancellation, enforcement, dispute resolution, warranty disclaimers, and limits of liability. Mandatory consumer rights are not waived.
1. Agreement and operator
Beyond Gaming League and ATOM are online services operated by the individual owner of Beyond Gaming League. In these Terms, “BGL,” “ATOM,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator and the services offered under the Beyond Gaming League and ATOM names. “You” means the person using the Services and, when applicable, the organization or Discord community that person is authorized to represent.
By creating an account, accepting these Terms, using an account-only feature, administering a community through ATOM, activating a Premium trial or promotion, or purchasing a paid offering, you agree to these Terms and the incorporated Refund & Cancellation Policy and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
If BGL later reorganizes or transfers the Services to a limited liability company or other successor, BGL may assign these Terms and related records to that successor. We will provide notice when required by law.
2. Eligibility and authority
- You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required by Discord and the laws where you live.
- If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase or manage a paid subscription.
- If you act for a team, business, league, Discord server, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it and administer the resources you connect.
- You may not use the Services if doing so would violate applicable law, sanctions, or a prior valid suspension.
3. Accounts, Discord access, and security
BGL uses Discord account information for sign-in and community administration. You are responsible for your Discord account, your devices, the accuracy of information you provide, and activity performed through your BGL account. Keep access credentials secure and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to support@beyondgamingleague.com.
Do not share account access, impersonate another person, misrepresent your authority, or attempt to obtain administrative privileges you do not have. Server owners and administrators are responsible for assigning roles carefully and removing access when a person no longer needs it.
4. The Services
BGL provides the public Tournament Hub and related account services. ATOM provides tournament administration, registration, team formation within events, brackets, match reporting, rankings, statistics, scheduling, and automation for connected Discord communities. Available features may depend on game support, Discord permissions, a community’s plan, or third-party integrations.
BGL is a technology provider. Unless BGL expressly states otherwise for a specific event, BGL is not the organizer, sponsor, referee, employer, agent, fiduciary, or prize guarantor for a tournament run by a community administrator.
5. ATOM Premium purchases and paid offerings
Price and scope
ATOM Premium and other paid features may be offered as recurring subscriptions, fixed-term access, or one-time purchases associated with the Discord account, Discord server, or other scope identified in the applicable offer. The price, currency, billing period or access term, taxes, eligibility requirements, included features, and other transaction-specific terms are displayed on the ATOM Premium page, in the applicable platform listing, or at checkout. The offer and checkout disclosures control transaction-specific terms if they differ from a general description on BGL.
ATOM Premium is not a donation, charitable contribution, investment, ownership interest, or promise that any particular tournament, result, prize, or business outcome will occur. Revenue from paid offerings supports the operation, maintenance, hosting, security, support, and continued development of the Services.
Payment services
Paid offerings may be made available through Discord Premium Apps or another payment platform identified at checkout. For purchases through Discord, Discord acts as the reseller or payment platform, processes payment details, collects applicable transaction taxes where required, provides receipts, maintains purchase records, and determines transaction-level refund eligibility under Discord’s Paid Services Terms and Refund Policy. Purchases through another platform are also subject to that platform’s checkout terms and procedures. BGL remains responsible for delivering the BGL offering described at purchase.
Automatic renewal
A paid offering renews only when it is identified as a recurring subscription. By completing checkout for a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable payment platform and its payment providers to charge the selected payment method on the recurring schedule shown at checkout until the subscription is canceled. The checkout confirmation and subscription-management interface control the renewal date, amount, currency, taxes, and any approved promotion. A fixed-term purchase, one-time purchase, no-payment trial, or complimentary entitlement does not automatically renew unless a separate offer clearly discloses recurring billing and you affirmatively accept it.
Billing ownership
The account that completes a purchase is responsible for it. You represent that you are authorized to purchase the offering for the selected account, server, or other identified scope. Losing a Discord role, leaving or transferring a server, removing ATOM, or deleting a BGL account may not automatically cancel recurring billing. You are responsible for confirming subscription status and canceling through the applicable payment platform before the next renewal.
Payment failures
If the applicable payment platform reports that an entitlement is expired, canceled, refunded, revoked, past due, or otherwise inactive, BGL may limit Premium features, suspend Premium access, or return the affected account or server to its then-current non-paid plan. Entitlement updates may not be immediate. You remain responsible for valid charges incurred before cancellation or termination.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a recurring subscription through the subscription-management controls of the payment platform identified at purchase or on the receipt. For a Discord-processed subscription, use Discord’s subscription-management controls. Unless the applicable platform or law states otherwise, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, access remains available until then, and no further renewal is charged. Removing ATOM, deleting a BGL account, leaving a server, or losing an administrator role is not a substitute for confirming cancellation with the applicable payment platform.
Charges are generally non-refundable and are not automatically prorated by BGL for unused time, failure to use the Services, role or server changes, or accidental non-cancellation. Refund eligibility and processing authority depend on these Terms, the Refund & Cancellation Policy, the applicable offer, the payment platform’s binding terms, and applicable law. Where authorized, BGL or the responsible payment platform may grant a discretionary refund, and BGL may provide a service credit or access extension within its control, without creating an obligation to do so in another case.
8. Acceptable use
When accessing or using ATOM through Discord, you must also comply with Discord’s Terms of Service, Discord’s Community Guidelines, and any applicable rules established by the Discord server in which ATOM is used. Conduct that violates those rules may also violate these Terms when it affects ATOM, BGL, another user, or a tournament administered through the Services.
These standards apply to content submitted, selected, linked, synchronized, imported, or otherwise made available through the Services, including usernames and display names; server, tournament, division, and team names; avatars, server icons, logos, banners, and other images; descriptions, links, forms, and other public or community-visible material.
You may use the Services only for lawful community and competition activities. You must not:
- harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, dox, discriminate against, or facilitate harm to another person;
- submit, display, link, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, malicious, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit or exploitative, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, graphically violent, impersonating, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited by Discord policy;
- cheat, falsify match results, manipulate rankings, evade tournament rules, coordinate fraudulent reports, or interfere with fair competition;
- probe, scan, attack, overload, scrape at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or interfere with the Services or another user’s data;
- use bots, automation, alternate accounts, payment disputes, promo codes, referrals, or platform defects to obtain unauthorized benefits;
- submit false refund, non-delivery, or chargeback claims. A good-faith billing dispute or lawful chargeback is not abuse by itself;
- collect personal information through BGL without an appropriate purpose, notice, permission, and lawful basis;
- use the Services to conduct or facilitate wagering, gambling, unlawful prize schemes, or entry-fee activity that violates Discord policy or applicable law;
- sell, sublicense, rent, or commercially exploit access to the Services unless BGL agrees in writing; or
- encourage or help another person violate these Terms.
9. Enforcement, suspension, and termination
BGL may investigate suspected violations and may preserve relevant records. We may warn, restrict features, correct data, remove content, suspend access, disqualify activity, return a server to a free plan, or terminate an account or subscription when we reasonably believe that:
- you materially or repeatedly violated these Terms or applicable community rules;
- your conduct threatens users, BGL, ATOM, Discord, third parties, platform security, or fair competition;
- fraud, payment abuse, unauthorized access, unlawful activity, or a credible legal risk is present;
- continued access would violate law, a valid legal request, or third-party platform requirements; or
- fees remain unpaid after applicable payment handling and notice.
Regardless of whether an account or server uses the Free or Premium plan, BGL may refuse, hide, remove, restrict, or replace with a neutral placeholder any name, username, avatar, server icon, tournament or team name, logo, banner, image, description, link, or other content that BGL reasonably determines violates these Terms, is unsuitable for a general-audience competition platform, or is reasonably likely to expose BGL, users, Discord, or third parties to harm or legal, security, or platform risk. BGL is not required to display content merely because it is available through Discord or associated with a paid subscription. Purchasing Premium does not guarantee publication or continued display of any content.
When reasonable and legally permitted, BGL will provide notice and an opportunity to address a remediable violation. We may act immediately and without advance notice to contain security incidents, fraud, unlawful conduct, credible harm, or interference with an investigation.
Material abuse can result in immediate loss of access. If BGL terminates or suspends access for a material violation, fraud, security threat, or abuse, you may lose access for the remainder of a paid period without a BGL-issued prorated credit, except where mandatory law or the applicable payment platform’s binding refund rules require otherwise. The payment platform may separately cancel an entitlement or issue a refund under its own terms. This clause does not limit any non-waivable consumer right.
You may appeal a BGL enforcement decision by emailing support@beyondgamingleague.com with the account, server, decision, and supporting information.
10. User content and public competition records
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant BGL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and otherwise use that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services and the events or communities in which you chose to participate. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for backups, legal records, legitimate public competition history, and content already shared by others. Discord API Data is used only as permitted by Discord’s terms and the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for content you submit. Tournament names, team names, logos, usernames, rosters, schedules, standings, results, rankings, and similar participation records may be visible publicly and may remain in historical records to preserve competition integrity.
BGL is not required to monitor or pre-screen all user content and does not endorse user content merely because it appears through the Services. BGL may review content in response to reports, suspected violations, safety concerns, or its own reasonable moderation activities. Removing or hiding content from BGL does not necessarily remove the original content from Discord or another third-party service.
Do not submit sensitive personal information, government identifiers, financial account details, health data, or private communications unless a feature expressly requests it and you are authorized to provide it.
11. Tournament organizers and community administrators
Organizers and administrators are solely responsible for their event rules, eligibility, age requirements, schedules, moderation, prizes, prize funding and delivery, tax reporting, legal compliance, permissions, and communications. They must publish accurate rules, obtain necessary rights and consents, and must not represent that BGL guarantees a prize, outcome, participant safety, eligibility decision, or organizer conduct.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. Participants are responsible for evaluating organizers, rules, prizes, teammates, opponents, linked servers, and any information they choose to share. BGL does not vet every organizer or participant and does not guarantee identity, skill, fairness, legality, safety, payment, prize delivery, or dispute outcomes.
BGL may correct obvious technical or data errors, but BGL is not required to referee or resolve interpersonal, eligibility, prize, roster, gameplay, cheating, moderation, or community disputes. Automated decisions may depend on administrator inputs, user reports, permissions, and third-party data that may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate.
12. Intellectual property
The Services, software, designs, branding, databases, and original materials are owned by or licensed to BGL and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, BGL grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose.
Discord, game titles, publisher names, payment platforms, and third-party marks belong to their respective owners. BGL and ATOM are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord, a payment platform, or any game publisher unless expressly stated. Discord and other applicable providers may supply platform or payment services for eligible purchases but do not operate ATOM.
Copyright notices should identify the work, location, contact information, a good-faith statement, an accuracy and authority statement, and a physical or electronic signature. Send notices to support@beyondgamingleague.com.
13. Third-party services
The Services may interact with Discord, Discord payment partners, game or statistics APIs, hosting providers, content delivery networks, and other third parties. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to their services. BGL does not control and is not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, account actions, payment decisions, data accuracy, security incidents, or products outside BGL’s control.
14. Changes, availability, and beta features
BGL may update, add, remove, or discontinue features; impose reasonable limits; and change free or paid plan contents. If a change materially reduces an active paid offering, BGL will provide notice and an opportunity to cancel before the change takes effect, or provide another remedy required by Discord’s Monetization Terms or applicable law.
The Services may experience maintenance, defects, data delays, third-party failures, or interruptions. Beta and experimental features may change or stop without notice. Keep independent copies of information that is important to you.
15. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BGL DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. BGL DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, COMPLETELY SECURE, OR THAT AUTOMATED RESULTS WILL ALWAYS BE ACCURATE.
YOU USE THE SERVICES, PARTICIPATE IN TOURNAMENTS, RELY ON AUTOMATED RESULTS, AND INTERACT WITH ORGANIZERS OR OTHER USERS AT YOUR OWN RISK. BGL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT AN EVENT WILL OCCUR, THAT A RESULT OR RANK WILL BE ACCEPTED, THAT A PRIZE WILL BE DELIVERED, OR THAT AN ORGANIZER OR PARTICIPANT WILL PERFORM AS PROMISED.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any remedy for a paid offering that is not delivered where the applicable payment platform’s binding terms or applicable law provides a refund right.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BGL AND ITS OPERATOR, CONTRIBUTORS, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BGL’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE AFFECTED BGL OR ATOM PAID OFFERING DURING THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $100.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
17. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, if you use the Services for a business, league, team, tournament, or community-administration purpose, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BGL, its individual operator, contributors, contractors, and service providers from third-party claims, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your content; your event, rules, moderation, entry requirements, prizes, or communications; your misuse of Discord or the Services; your violation of law or these Terms; or your infringement of another person’s rights. BGL will provide reasonable notice and allow you to control the defense with qualified counsel, subject to BGL’s right to participate and approve any settlement that imposes liability, admission, or obligation on BGL. This section does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by BGL’s own unlawful conduct.
18. Complaints, disputes, and governing law
Contact support@beyondgamingleague.com first and provide enough detail for BGL to investigate. Before filing a lawsuit, you and BGL agree to make a good-faith effort for 30 days to resolve the dispute informally. Either party may still seek urgent injunctive relief or file an eligible small-claims matter.
Individual arbitration and class-action waiver for United States users. Except for an eligible individual small-claims case, a request for urgent injunctive relief, or a dispute that applicable law does not permit to be arbitrated, you and BGL agree to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place remotely, by documents, or in Maryland, unless the arbitrator or mandatory law requires another location. The arbitrator may award the same individual remedies a court could award, but neither party may bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action.
You may opt out of the arbitration and class-waiver provision by emailing support@beyondgamingleague.com within 30 days after first accepting this version of the Terms. Your notice must identify your Discord account, state that you are opting out of arbitration, and be sent by you personally. Opting out will not affect the rest of these Terms.
Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, these Terms and disputes between you and BGL are governed by Maryland law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. State and federal courts located in Maryland will have jurisdiction. Consumers may bring claims in another court when mandatory law gives them that right.
Payment disputes involving checkout, charges, taxes, refunds, or payment services are also governed by the applicable payment platform’s terms and dispute procedures. These Terms do not alter any agreement between you and that platform.
19. Changes to these Terms
BGL may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the Services, business operations, legal or regulatory requirements, security needs, billing practices, the incorporated Refund & Cancellation Policy, or third-party platform requirements. The updated Terms will identify their effective date and version. Non-material changes may take effect when posted. For material changes that adversely affect your rights or obligations, BGL will provide reasonable notice through the Services, email, or another reasonable channel and may require renewed acceptance before further account use. Material changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date unless applicable law permits or requires otherwise. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and cancel any subscription before the changes take effect.
20. General terms and contact
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Section headings are for convenience. These Terms incorporate the Refund & Cancellation Policy and any applicable offer-specific terms. Together they form the entire agreement between you and BGL about the Services. The Privacy Policy explains how BGL handles personal information.
You may not transfer your account or these Terms without BGL’s written consent. BGL may transfer these Terms in connection with a reorganization, sale, financing, or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law.
